I have a small vegetable garden in my rented house and enjoy maintaining it. I cultivate some essential vegetables and curry leaves for my own use. According to my garden’s soil, I easily cultivate some native vegetables with curry leaves and greens successfully. For protection, I keep my more sensitive herbs in a kind of gazebo to stop heavy rains damaging them, and I’ve arranged a thin fence that prevents my garden plants from the invasion of animals especially like rabbits, rats etc.
My garden is always free from a congested situation and it is cleaned weekly. Soil and its condition are always vital for a successful garden. So my garden is always free of stones and watered regularly. Always I am very cautious about insects and pests hazard. Moreover, I am not used to putting any kind of fertilizers and pesticides on my herbs and veggies.
My advice to any amateur gardener is to protect your garden, and keep it simple – don’t use artificial substances and water your garden regularly.
