What can I expect at a Used Book Sale?

May 7, 2010

On opening night you can expect to see a lot people. A lot cd collectors, media scouts, or even professors will be waiting hours before the sale. Don’t worry, buyers can still arrive at the start of a sale and still get great cheap books!

The first few hours will be busy. With all the media items being displayed, book scouts will hurry to try and find books and best media items as quick as possible before other patrons. It is also a good idea to bring your own box or bag so you don’t have to spend part of your sale time searching for something to carry your used media items in while at the booksale.

If you don’t want to go when the crowds are there, you can still find great bargains on other days. Many times, there is not enough space to put all the books and other media items out on the table. Because of this, non profits will constantly put out  used books and other media items on a hourly basis.

Another great thing if you find a book sale, on some of the last couple days at the sale many organizations will have bargain days. They will sell books and other used books for either half the price or sell a whole bag of books (of your choosing!) for only a couple bucks.

Another good thing about Used Book Sales is that you can donate the used books back when you are done. If you need some shelf space in your personal library to fit any new  used books and other media items, you can donate your old used books to the sale so someone else can make a home for it, instead of throwing it out in the trash.

Along with the fine deals you will find at the Used Book Sale on media items, you can also sometimes find bake sales or plant sales. These also help generate money for the organizations hosting these Library Book Sales. It also may help give you something to snack on while you browse for  used books and other media items.
